The aerodynamic frame of the Timemachine 01 is responsible for a large portion of its dominant speed. It is constructed using BMC’s 01 Premium Carbon, the same material used on all of their elite race bikes. The tube shapes of this frame were meticulously engineered to cut through the air and reduce drag. Because bikes are ridden in the real world and not in the wind tunnel, the Timemachine Road is aerodynamic at all angles, not just against wind coming head on. The hydration storage in the frame lets you have two bottles within reach in a way that only adds to the aero nature of the bike. Integrated aero covers of the front brake calipers also optimize airflow at all angles. With high bottom bracket and chainstay stiffness, everything on the Timemachine Road is made for pure speed.

The aero-specific Integrated Cockpit System is another huge perk of the Timemachine Road 01. Aerodynamic performance is combined with uncompromised adjustability, easy service, and a minimal front surface area in the cockpit. The aero bar and stem are set to a -15-degree rise which helps keep the rider in a more comfortable aerodynamic position. The rider accounts for the vast majority of aero drag, so the perfect riding position is essential to hitting your fastest time. An aero D-shaped seatpost with a Kamm tail profile keeps riders in an efficient position with an aero profile. The ICS cockpit makes stealth internal cable routing extremely easy to keep a sleek look of the frame and to keep the cables out of the wind.

While speed is the main priority of the Timemachine Road, having enough comfort to enjoy your ride is also vital. That is where BMC’s Tuned Compliance Concept (TCC) comes into play. This concept is made to assure that it performs with optimal power transfer and rolling resistance on all surfaces. You will be able to achieve peak speed without the effects of vibration fatigue. A TCC Speed fork is also featured at the front of the bike which also focuses on power transfer and rolling efficiency with minimal vertical deflection.
